Cox’s Bazar district has been put under lockdown on Wednesday in order to combat the transmission of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
Deputy Commissioner Md Kamal Hossain informed that the district is under lockdown, beginning this afternoon. The lockdown will continue until further notice in this regard, according to media report.“We want to keep people of the district safe from the virus. We don't want anyone from the district to get infected. We are imposing the lockdown so that no one can get in or out of the district," Kamal Hossain added.
Stern action will be taken if anyone violates this order, he warned.
