The health department has claimed to have recorded one more death from coronavirus and 43 fresh related cases in the last 24 hours till Friday morning.

With the new fatality, the country’s total death toll from the virus rose to 29,485 and caseload to 2,04,7796 so far, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said in a press statement this evening.

The daily case positivity rate of the virus stood at 9.03 percent after testing 476 samples during the 24 hours, said the DGHS.

The recovery and death rates remained unchanged at 98.40 percent and 1.44 percent, respectively, according to the statement.
