A red carpet was rolled out as President M Abdul Hamid arrived in Tajik capital Dushanbe Thursday night.
A VVIP flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, carrying the President and his entourage members, landed at Dushanbe International Airport at about 08:52pm Bangladeshi time.The head of the state, who is on seven-day official visit to two central Asian states – Tajikistan and Uzbekistan – arrived at Dushanbe to attend the filth summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA).
The President will later visit Uzbekistan from June 16.
On his arrival at Dushanbe, the President was received by the chair of the parliament’s upper chamber and concerned officials.
President’s wife Rashida Khanam, Foreign Minister Dr AK Momen, among others, are been accompanying Abdul Hamid.
The President is expected to return Bangladesh on June 19.
