ACC seeks wealth info of CAAB engr, 3 others

The Anti-Corruption Commission on Wednesday sought wealth statements of four people, including Civil Aviation Authority Bangladesh (CAAB) superintending engineer AKM Maksudul Islam, on charges of amassing illegal wealth.

The anti-graft body’s sent letters signed by its Director Syed Iqbal Hossain asking the four graft suspects to submit their wealth statements to the commission within 21 working days.

The others three are CAAB Assistant Engineer Mohammad Yunus Bhuyain and his two wives –Marium Nesa and Marufa Aktar.

ACC public relations officer M Arif Sadiq said the commission sought wealth statements of the four graft suspects after it carried out a primary probe over allegations of amassing illegal wealth.

ACC officials said they took the steps after the commission found allegations of amassing huge amount of wealth by the four people beyond their known sources of income.
