CHATTOGRAM: Maldives High Commissioner to Bangladesh Shiruzimath Sameer said Bangladesh has a great chance to create market for readymade garment products in her country as millions of tourists visit it every year.
The ambassador said this while attending a view exchange meeting with Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) President Mahbubul Alam at the latter’s office on Thursday.
Shiruzimath Sameer said both countries can work together to develop tourism sector of Bangladesh.
Emphasising on private sector relationship, she said that business representatives from both sides can visit the countries regularly to strengthen the private sector relationship further.
Lauding the importance of bilateral business, CCCI President Mahbubul Alam said the both countries can introduce communication through the sea and air ways among Dhaka, Chattogram and Male, reduce tax complexities and cooperate in tourism sector.
He also proposed to sign a MoU between CCCI and Male Chamber of Commerce to increase the communication in private sector business.
South-East Asian Co-operation Foundation, Bangladesh Executive Chairman Salauddin Kashem Khan, Maldives High Commission Third Secretary Fathimath Mohammed Didi and CCCI Secretariat officials were present at meeting among others.
