A senior leader of the opposition Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) on Tuesday claimed that the country was gripped by “uncertainty” and said children had no future due to the prevailing situation.

“A state of uncertainty, instability and fear have gripped the country. What type of society we are living in which holds no future for our children,” BNP  secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said at the inaugural function of 11th children art competition ‘Shapla Kuri 2019’ IDEB Bhaban in the capital.

Meanwhile, addressing a human chain in front of the Jatiya Press Club, BNP standing committee member Amir Khashru Mahmud Chowdhury said the country’s people have started movement to ‘restore’ democracy and BNP is involved in it.
