Police save youth from lynching in Natore

NATORE: Police rescued a youth from mob beating on Sunday noon from the town’s Taltola area, reports UNB.

Kazi Jalal Uddin, officer-in-charge of Natore Police Station, said on information, people were beating up the mentally-challenged youth suspecting him of being a child kidnapper.

A police team rushed to the spot and saved the youth.

Three people, including a woman, were suspected of being child abductors and beaten to death by mobs in Dhaka, Narayanganj and Cumilla on Saturday.

In the evening, police urged people not to take law into their own hands.
