Five pharmacies fined in Ctg

CHATTOGRAM: A mobile court fined five pharmacies Tk 43,000 on different charges including for selling date expired medicine in the city’s Khulshi area on Thursday.

Chattogram district administration Executive Magistrate Md Ali Hasan led the drive assisted by the Drug Administration Superintendent Kamrul Hasan.

The mobile court carried out the drive at the Khulshi and Jhautala Bazar areas.

The Magistrate Ali Hasan said the five pharmacies were selling date expired and unregistered medicines and lacking drug license.

Of them, Pharmacy Care, Jibon Drug House and Manju Medical Hall were fined Tk 10,000 each while Janata Medical Hall and Nasir Pharmacy Tk 8,000 and Tk 5,000 respectively, he said.
