Anamul, Kayes to return as BCB set to announce A team

Experienced openers Anamul Haque Bijoy and Imrul Kayes have been called up as Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is all set to announce Bangladesh ‘A’ Team squad for the series against Afghanistan A team.

Simon Helmut will be the head coach for Bangladesh A team. Most of the players who were the part of national team in different phases of their career were called up for the series. But the opener Saif Hasan who is considered as future prospect for Bangladesh was the surprising exclusion for the team.

Afghanistan A team will play two four dayers and five one dayers against Bangladesh in the month long tour. Afghans are already in Bangladesh practicing to take on ‘A’ Tigers.

The first four-dayer is scheduled to take place at the Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium (SANS) in Khulna from July 5-9. The two teams then will travel to Chattogram where they will play the second four-day match from July 12-15 at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium (ZACS).

ZACS will host first three one-day match on July 21, 23 and 24 respectively.

The fourth and fifth one-dayers will be held in Bangladesh Krira Shikkh Protisthan (BKSP) on July 27 and 29. The Afghans will fly off to their country on July 30.
