Three killed in separate incidents in Ctg

CHATTOGRAM: Three persons including a woman were killed in separate incidents in the city and district on Tuesday night and Wednesday.

The deceased were identified as Kajli Saha, 55, wife of Kanak Saha of Chandpur district headquarters, Ahmed Shahed, 35, son of late Kabir Ahmed of the city’s Baluachhara area, and Jahangir Alam, 55, son of late Shafiqur Rahman of Raozan upazila in the district.

Sources said a speedy inter-city bus of Route No-10 ran over Kajli Saha while she was crossing road in the city’s Tigerpass area on Tuesday night. The accident left her injured critically.

Locals rushed her to Chattogram Medical College Hospital (CMCH) where physicians declared her dead, said Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) Alauddin Talukdar of the hospital police outpost.

Meanwhile, battery-run auto-rickshaw driver Shahed was electrocuted in the city’s Baluchhara area early Wednesday. On the other hand, police recovered hanging body of night guard Jahangir from a high school at Raozan upazila in the district on Wednesday morning.
