‘Women’s contribution to liberation war yet to be recognised’

Renowned human rights activist Dr Sultana Kamal said that the contribution of women to the war of liberation is yet to be recognised.

She said this at a programme named Bidyapeeth Boithakhi-3 at Bidyapeeth’s compound at Dhanmondi in the capital on Monday.

Gyantapas Abdur Razzaq Bidyapeeth Foundation arranged the programme.

“The contribution of women to our Liberation War have not yet been recognised properly even after 47 years of the war.

Even we have to speak separately that the women played a vital role during the Liberation War.”

Dr Ahrar Ahmed, director general of Gyantapas Abdur Razzaq Bidyapeeth Foundation, delivered the welcome speech.

Singer Ferdous Rahman Chandan performed a song on liberation war.
