Bangladesh all-rounder Shamim Patowary and Mohammad Saifuddin said that they are satisfied with their performance against Oman A team as their batmen had some good batting practice against the hosts and earn a 60-run win.
Bangladesh opener Liton Das and Mohammad Naim scored fifties while Nurul Hasan played a blazing knock of unbeaten 49 off 15 balls with seven sixes as the Tigers made 207-4 before restricting the opposition for 147-9.
“Our openers made a perfect start. Naim and Liton batted really well. Sohan (Nurul) and I enjoyed batting during the last stage,” he said, adding that he is impressed with the performance of the bowling unit as well,’’ he said while his team mate Saifuddin echoed the same sentiment.
‘’As we have come here for the first time the condition was a little bit unfamiliar for us. But we were able to adjust the condition after practicing first three or four days. We were able to do practice on day as there were no opportunities to practice at night here. The ground was a little bit wet after playing five or six overs in the second innings. I did not expect such fog here which I saw during BPL in Chattogram. Even then I was able to adjust with the condition because I bowled in BPL with dew. I just utilized that experience,’’ said Saifuddin.
‘’We never think too much about our opponents because we naver take them lightly. T20 cricket is anyone's game and anyone can lose in this format. We always try to give 100% in every match. Everyone knows that home teams are always strong. Our batsmen made our task easier as they made a strong total against Oman. Overall it was a pretty batting wicket particularly after playing seven or eight overs. We were benefited after playing the match because we have to play two qualifier games under the lights. From now on we will prepare more,’’ he added.
