The government has decided to retain the digital lottery system for admissions to government and private secondary schools in the 2026 academic year.

This decision was made at a meeting, chaired by Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education Director General (Additional Charge) Prof BM Abdul Hannan, on Monday.

Online applications for admission of students from classes one to nine will begin on 21 November, while the digital lottery is likely to be held on 14 December after the application process ends.

The admission circular will be published by 19 November.
