Bangladesh on Wednesday reported 172 deaths and 7,248 new cases of infections from coronavirus or Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.

With new fatalities, the total number of deaths now stands at 24,719. On the other hand, the total number of infections as of now is 14 lakh 40 thousand 644.  

A press notification of the Directorate General of Health Service (DGHS) revealed this information on Wednesday.

The country recorded highest-ever 264 deaths on August 10. Earlier, Bangladesh also saw record 264 deaths. In addition, some 261 deaths were recorded on August 7. Some 16, 230 cases of highest-ever infections were registered on July 28.
