National Award winning music director Farid Ahmed died of coronavirus infection on Tuesday.
He breathed his last around 9:30am while undergoing treatment at the capital's Square Hospital.Farid Ahmed’s daughter Dudana Farid confirmed the news to media this morning.
The musician tested positive for Covid-19 last month, along with his wife, Shiuly Akhter. As his condition deteriorated, he was taken to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Hospital on March 25.
Farid Ahmed won the National Film Award in 2017 for his work in "Tumi Robe Nirobe".
