With a cheerful smile, French President Emmanuel Macron and Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo received “IMAGES OF PARIS”, a book of writings and photographs by Bangladesh’s young author and photographer Farid Ahammad Rony.
The France President received the book in a cheerful manner from the Bangladeshi expatriate at ‘Mujhe Do Marin’ in front of the Eiffel Tower, in the Paris Peace Forum 2025 on 30 October.
The work is not just an art book—it marks a unique milestone in the history of Bangladeshi publishing, as it is the first comprehensive photo book to be published simultaneously in Bangla, English, and French, said a press release on Friday.
France is often called the land of art and poetry. The creations of its poets, writers, artists, and sculptors have enriched the world’s literary and artistic heritage. In this tradition, Farid Ahammad Rony’s “IMAGES OF PARIS” captures the form, color, and beauty of this legacy in a fresh and original way.
Each page of the book feels like a window, offering a perfect reflection of Paris’s history, culture, architecture, and art. From the glow of the Eiffel Tower to the grandeur of the Louvre, from enchanting street art to the aesthetic elegance of famous French sculptures—everything is captured through Rony’s unique perspective and lens. “IMAGES OF PARIS” is not just a photo book; it is an aesthetic journey, where words, colors, and emotions come together in a remarkable harmony.
Paris is known as the city of love, poetry, and art. This photo book weaves together the city’s charm, light, history, and human beauty.
Through the eyes of a Bangladeshi artist, this portrayal of Paris will not only captivate readers but also inspire them to engage more deeply with culture and the arts.
Following the acceptance from the France President, the book reached the Élysée Palace as a vibrant publication, carrying the hallmark of Bangladesh’s printing excellence and its Bangla publishing house.
