Sheikh Jamal beat Sheikh Russel 4-2

Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Limited continued their unbeaten run in the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League as they beat Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra 4-2 in their fifth match at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Saturday.

Gambian defender Pa Omar Jobe netted a brace while his compatriot forwards Sulayman Sillah and Solomon King Kanform scored one each for Sheikh Jamal.
Nigerian midfielder Ugochukwu Obi Moneke and Kyrgyzs midfielder Baktyir Duishobekov scored one each for Sheikh Russel.  
Sheikh Jamal climbed up to the second position in the points table with 15 points from five matches while Sheikh Russel slipped to fourth with 13 points from six matches.
Sheikh Russel conceded the first goal after their goalkeeper Ashraful Islam Rana failed to grab a long-range right-footer from Sulayman Sillah in the 38th minute (1-0).
Sheikh Russel’s misery continued as Rana again failed to deny a close-range right-footer from Pa Omar Jobe in the injury time of the first half (2-0).
Sheikh Jamal continued their domination on Sheikh Russel in the second half as Pa Omar Jobe extended the margin with his second goal with a powerful shot in the 59th minute (3-0).
Sheikh Russel’s Ugochukwu Obi Moneke reduced the gap with a header, off a corner from Baktyir Duishobekov in the 70th minute (3-1).
Solomon King Kanform netted fourth for Sheikh Jamal from a penalty (4-1) in the 73rd minute.
Sheikh Russel were also rewarded by a penalty in the 81st minute and Baktyir netted the consolation goal converting the spot-kick (4-2).
In the day’s other match, Saif Sporting Club beat Arambagh KS by 3-2 goals at Birshreshtha Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Stadium in Munshiganj.  
Nigerian forward Kenneth Ikechukwu Ngwoke scored twice in the 6th and 59th minutes while midfielder Sazzad Hossain added one in the 70th minute for Saif SC. Nigerian forward Christopher Chizoba Iyikwobe and midfielder Umor Faruk scored one each for Arambagh.
