'69 private hospitals to provide all kinds of treatment for 24-hour'

Sixty nine private medical colleges and hospitals affiliated under Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA) will provide all kinds of medical treatment to the patients, said State Minister for Disaster Management and Relief Dr Md Enamur Rahman.

He came up with the revelation at an online briefing of the Directorate General of Health Services in the capital on Thursday.

At the briefing, Bangladesh Private Medical College Association (BPMCA) president Mobin Khan said, “We are beside the nation during the corona crisis. The medical colleges and hospitals, numbering 69, under the association will remain open for 24 hours. All kinds of treatment including corona will be provided to the patients.”

He also said nearly 20,000 nurses are employed in those medical college hospitals. They are always ready. Each hospital has 500-700 beds for treatment.
