Bangladesh will be looking to continue their winning momentum in the ongoing five-match T20I series when they take on Zimbabwe in the fourth game at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur today.
The match is scheduled to start at 06:00pm (BST) and will be telecast live on T Sports.
The hosts have already sealed the series against Zimbabwe after winning the opening three matches held at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram.
Bangladesh started the series with an eight-wicket win before they outplayed the visitors by six wickets.
The hosts confirmed the series victory after registering a narrow nine-run win over Zimbabwe on Tuesday and now they will be looking to inflict more misery on the tourists by handing them another defeat.
“We want to win the last two games. We have different individual roles, which we try to execute. Results vary but we also want to use these two matches to try out some of our new skills,” pacer Taskin Ahmed told reporters in a press conference, before their training session at the SBNS in Mirpur on Thursday.
Ahead of the last two games of the series, Bangladesh received a big boost as all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan and pacer Mustafizur Rahman returned to the side after missing out on the opening three games for respective reasons.
All-rounder Soumya Sarkar also returned to the side for the remaining matches after passing the fitness test but Taskin said that the team management will take the final call regarding his selection in the playing XI.
“Soumya bhai trained hard in the last few days. I think he is fit to play…But the management can say it better whether he will play or not,” he added.
Elsewhere, Zimbabwe will be eyeing to earn some respectable result in the series when they face the Tigers in the fourth game of the series.
The tourists are yet to showcase any decent performance in the games they played in the series and they will be desperately looking to open their account in order to avoid further embarrassment in the series.
