3 arrested for ‘selling’ fake SSC question papers in Ctg

CHATTOGRAM: Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested three students from the port city on Friday early hours for selling fake question paper of the ongoing Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations.

The arrestees were identified as Ahmed Reza Khan Rizvi, 20, Md Rifat, 23, and Md Arman, 22. They all are students of Honour's first year at different institutions.

Rizvi is a student of a Madrasha in the city's Bibirhat area while the other two are student at a local college in Patiya upazila under the district.

Sources said the trio circulated and sold the question papers of previous years through a Facebook page.              They kept three sets of the questions.

Evidences of selling false questions were found from under their possession, said Assistant Director (Media) Md Nurul Absar.

They sent those questions to the students over Messenger and WhatsApp, he said.  They also used to collect money from the students using digital money transaction system, he said.

Nurul also said that the members of the elite force conducted a drive in the city's Bakolia area at around 1:00am and arrested the trio from the spot.

The arrestees were handed over to the concerned Bakolia Police Station for further legal actions, he added.
