Bashundhara Group has won the internationally prestigious ‘Superbrands Award’ for its four products ---paper, tissue, diapant and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG).

Superbrands Bangla-desh announced the awards at a grand ceremony at a city hotel on Saturday.

Forty most prestigious and valuable brands of Bangladesh have been honoured for the year 2023-24.

University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) Vice-Chancellor Prof Imran Rahman handed over the awards to Bashundhara Group Vice-chairman Safwan Sobhan and Director Yeasha Sobhan.

Other high officials of the industrial conglomerate were also present on the occasion.

Bashundhara Paper and LPG clinched SuperBrands title for the third time while Bashundhara Tissue and Diapant won the award for second times.

Superbrands Bangla-desh managing director Shariful Islam made a welcome address on the occasion.

Bashundhara Group Sector-A chief operating officer MM Jasim Uddin,

 Bashundhara Paper Mills CSO Masudur Rahman, chief operating officer (finance) Mahbub Alam, Sector-C Head of Marketing and Business Development Mohammad Towfique Hasan, head of marketing Mohammad Alauddin, and Sector-A head of public relations Jakaria Jalal were also present on the occasion.

Asia Marketing Federation president Syed Ferhat Anwar shared about the process of Superbrands award that maintained international standard.

“The Superbrands has been picked maintaining global practice. The process goes through different phases to bring out only the top brands in different segment,” he said.

The Superbrands is a global arbiter for brands which operates in 90 countries around the world.

Launched in 1994, the Superbrands has become the most prominent success symbol for brands.
