Humayun opens ‘Nat’l SME Fair 2022’
Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun is seen at the inaugural ceremony of the 10th 'National SME Fair 2022' at the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC) in the capital on Thursday.

The 10th 'National SME Fair 2022' kicked off Thursday in the city to help small and medium entrepreneurs promote market for their products.

Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun inaugurated the 10th 'National SME Fair 2022' as the chief guest at the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC) in the city, said a press release, reports BSS.

SME Foundation organised the fair for boosting of the small and medium enterprise sector to accelerate economic progress of the country.

In his speech, Humayun said the government has been formulating and implementing various business-friendly policies-programmes for smooth flourishing of the small and medium enterprises in the country.

"Sustainable and qualitative industrialization is the political commitment of our government. The Ministry of Industries is working with the goal of achieving economic prosperity and qualitative change in the industrial sector through the implementation of Vision 2041," he added.

He said the government has been working relentlessly for the expansion and sustainable development of micro, small and medium industries in the country.

In this year's SME fair, all categories of entrepreneurs, financiers, and trainers have come under one roof targeting to provide all necessary support to help them expand businesses of SME products.

The products are being on the display include jute, jute products, leather and leather products, handicrafts, cane products, potteries, ceramics, artificial flowers, jewelry, boutiques, food processing, jamdani and agro processing.

Besides, products from light engineering, plastic, electronic and electrical, agro machinery and IT and courier sector are also being there at the fair.
