Bashundhara Shuvosangho has set up a sewing training centre for supporting women empowerment efforts at a kindergarten school in Kamolganj municipality in Moulvibazar.

Bashundhara Shuvosangho’s adviser and writer Ahmed Siraj inaugurated the training centre at Ambia Kindergarten School on Friday morning.

Fifteen women joined the first training session, which would continue for three months. Among the training participants, Muhima Begum and Shilpani Shabdakar, delivered speeches, thanking Bashundhara Shuvosangho and Bashundhara Group for setting up the training facility.

The inauguration was also attended by Sabbir Elahi, president of Bashundhara Shuvosangho’s Kamolganj upazila unit, and Md Mostafizur Rahman, adviser at the unit and also Kaler Kantho’s upazila correspondent.
