Mohammad Shafiqul Islam, the Commissioner of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), claimed that Sheikh Hasina is the least secure prime minister in the world.

"Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina came under attack several times. Taking everything into consideration, visible and invisible flawless security arrangements have been made for the National Mourning Day event at Dhanmondi 32," said Shafiqul Islam.

Shafiqul made these remarks to journalists on Sunday following an inspection of security arrangements made for the observation of the 47th martyrdom anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Mourning Day on August 15. Taking all risks into cognizance, necessary security measures have been taken, said the officer.

Shafiqul Islam said that Dhanmondi 32 is a place that involves the emotions of Bengalis. The venues, according to the DMP Commissioner, have been swept by dog squads and mine detectors.

The entire area will be monitored through CCTV. Naval Police and Navy teams will be present at Dhanmondi Lake.

After paying tribute to the portrait of Bangabandhu at Dhanmondi 32, the Prime Minister will visit Banani Graveyard. Security measures have also been taken there.
