Rahamatganj Muslim Friends Society registered season’s biggest victory when they humiliated Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra by a 7-1 margin during their 18th match of the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League at the Bir Shrestha Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Stadium in Munshiganj on Monday.

Rahamatganj’s Ghanaian forward Philip Adjah and Nigerian forward Sunday Chizoba scored two goals each while defender Mohammad Al Amin, Ivorian defender Lancine Toure and midfielder Khondoker Ashraful Islam netted one each for the winning side.

Muktijoddha midfielder Obidur Rahman Nawbab netted the only goal for them in the added minute of the first half. Before Rahamatganj, the current champions and league leaders Bashundhara Kings held the biggest win record this season when they earned a 6-0 goals victory against Uttar Baridhara Club on April 29.

In the day’s other match, Bangladesh Police Football Club clinched a hard fought 1-0 win over the bottom-placed Swadhinata Krira Sangha at the Muktijuddho Sriti Stadium in Rajshahi. Police’s Afghan forward Amredin Sharifi scored the match winner in the 71st minute.
