Popular film actor Ferdous Ahmed and actress Ashna Habib Bhabna will be seen next in the film ‘Dampara’. Directed by Suddhoman Chaitan, the shooting of the movie has been completed recently in Chattogram.
Based on a true story, ‘Dampara’ portrays the heroic deeds of a daring police officer, Shamsul Haque, who lost his life during the Liberation War of 1971. How Shamsul Haque fought against the Pakistani forces and how he was killed will be shown in the film.
About the film, Ferdous Ahmed said, “I am very proud to play such a character. Bhabna is a very dedicated artiste and she has acted very well in the role of my wife. I hope the audience will like our work.”
“I really enjoy working with senior artistes. Because, I learn a lot from them. As a new director, Chaitan had a hundred percent honest effort, which was carried by all the artistes. Screenwriter Anan Zaman has written an extraordinary screenplay. After reading that script, I felt that I wanted to work in this movie. Since Mahmuda Aunty is still alive, knowing a lot from her, the challenge for me was to play the role of a living legend like her.”
The story and screenplay of ‘Dampara’ have been written by Anan Zaman. The film is produced by Chattogram Metropolitan Police (CMP).
The other cast of the film is Shatabdi Wadud, Jhuna Chowdhury, Ananta Hira, Maznun Mizan, Muntaha and others.
The film will likely to release this year.
