Saudi envoy calls on expatriates’ welfare minister

A meeting between Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Imran Ahmad and the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Essa Yousef Essa Alduhailan was held at the ministry on Thursday.

The discussion was held in a very amicable atmosphere in the meeting room of the ministry at 12:00pm.

They talked about expanding Bangladesh’s labour market in Saudi Arabia, sending more workers at the lowest possible migration cost in the shortest possible time, preventing middlemen in the recruitment process and other interests of Bangladeshi workers in Saudi Arabia.

Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment Secretary Dr Ahmed Munirus Saleheen, Director General of Bureau of Manpower, Employment and Training (BMET) Md Shahidul Alam, Additional Secretary of the Ministry Md Abdul Quader, Iqbal Hussain Khan of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs,  among others, were also present.
