CHATTOGRAM: The results of 212 students of Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations under Chittagong Education Board (CEB) were changed after re-evaluation and nine of them obtained GPA–5.
A total of 33 students also passed from failed results following re-scrutiny of their answer scripts.
Examination Controller Narayan Chandra Nath of the Education Board said that although the grades have not changed, the numbers in 214 answer sheets of 212 students have changed while the cumulative GPA of 92 students got increased.
After re-scrutiny of 7,823 answer scripts of 7,069 students, it was found that the answer sheets of 212 students were not examined properly, the controller said.
Most of the results were changed in the Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) answer part. Actions were taken against the examiners who did the mistakes in the previous occasions,” he said adding that the matter will be investigated this time too.
It may be mentioned that a total of 158,636 examinees took part in the SSC examination under the board last year.
With the new ones, a total of 144,583 students passed successfully and 12,800 of them secured GPA-5.
