Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC) One Stop Service (OSS) has topped in an innovation exhibition.

Industries ministry organised the exhibition, where 13 government agencies took part, says a press release.

BSCIC Chairman Md Mushtaq Hasan said: “BSCIC has been working towards environment-friendly industrialisation in the country. It has launched one stop service to ensure all the services of the entrepreneurs under one umbrella.”

The Ministry of Industries has awarded a certificate to BSCIC for winning the first place of BSCIC One Stop Service (OSS) in the innovation exhibition.

BSCIC Secretary Md Mofidul Islam received the certificate from Industries Secretary Zakia Sultana. Member (Secretary) of Industry and Energy Department of Planning Commission Sharifa Khan was present on the occasion.

BSCIC is the fifth agency to introduce OSS after Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA), Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority (BEZA), Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA) and Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority.

The Prime Minister's Office issued a circular on July 19, 2021, accommodating BSCIC in OSS law, the release said.

BSCIC has undertaken a master plan consisting of 13 flagship programmes aimed at building an environment-friendly and prosperous Bangladesh by 2041.

One of the 13 flagship programmes is to create 10 million entrepreneurs and create employment opportunities for 20 million people by 2041 by setting up 100 eco-friendly industrial parks on 40,000 acres of land in economically important areas across the country.

BSCIC has already implemented two of the 13 flagship programmes. The two programmes are the launch of the online marketing platform called "BSCIC One Stop Service" and "BSCIC Online Market".
