“Promises, made by different countries, have not been fulfilled yet though all countries reached a global agreement in tackling climate change in 2009.  For this, global warming is increasing and the 1.1 degrees Celsius temperature of the planet has already increased, he said, reports BSS.

The minister made the comments while addressing the discussion titled ‘Glasgow COP26 Conference: Preparation and Expectations of Bangladesh’ organised by Bangladesh Climate Change Journalist Forum (BCCJF) at an auditorium of the city’s Tathya Bhaban.

On the other hand, BNP is busy criticising the government and their ill politics is limited within boycotting elections, said Hasan, also Awami League joint general secretary. BCCJF general secretary Motaher Hossain gave the welcome address with its president Kawsar Rahman in the chair.

Mohammad Mahmudul Hasan presented the keynote paper in the programme.
