A total of 123 new dengue patients were hospitalised while no death was reported in the country in the last 24 hours till Friday morning, said Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
With this, around 4,000 patients were hospitalised in 22 days of the month of October across the country.
Some 12 patients died across the country in last July, 34 died in August, 23 in September and 15 deaths have been reported in the current month October, the health directorate data added. The DGHS said 116 new patients were hospitalised in the capital and 7 patients were outside the city in the last 24 hours till 8:00am on Friday.
A total of 625 patients diagnosed with dengue are now receiving treatment at 41 government and private hospitals in Dhaka while 155 outside the city, it said.
Around 22,130 dengue patients were hospitalised across the country including in Dhaka city since January until October 22 this year. So far, 21,266 dengue patients have been released from hospitals after recovery, the DGHS report said.
