Virtual orientation held at NSU

North South University (NSU) organised virtual orientation for newly enrolled students of Fall Semester 2021on the university premises in the city on Monday.

A total of 1,700 students have got the opportunity to get admission in the graduate (honors) courses in 16 departments of the four schools of the university and around 400 students have been awarded merit-based scholarship based on their previous outstanding results.

Dr Hasan Mahmud, Information and Broadcasting Minister, sent a written speech on the occasion while Azim Uddin Ahmed, chairman of Board of Trustees (BoT) of NSU, was present as the special guest.

Dr Firdausi Qadri, emeritus scientist of icddr,b was present as the orientation speaker while MA Kashem, Benajir Ahmed and Rehana Rahman, members of  BoT of university, were present as guests of honor.

Professor Atiqul Islam, vice-chancellor of NSU, presided over the event, said a press release.

Among others, pro-vice-chancellor, treasurer, deans of different schools, directors, department heads, faculties and officials were also present at the programme.
