Seminar on promoting health services held

A multi-stakeholder seminar titled ‘Promoting Health Services for All: Present Situation, Challenges and Way Forward’ organised by Bangladesh NGOs Network for Radio and Communication (BNNRC) was held on Wednesday. 

The seminar was aimed at an in-depth discussion about health-service issues to ensure quality health services for all.

Around 40 discussants from CSOs, government offices, representatives of the Anti-Corruption Commission, journalists, teachers, elected public representatives, and the representatives of the civil society participated in the seminar.

Md Khalilur Rahman, Sylhet Divisional Commissioner, attended the seminar as the chief guest while Dr Naseem Ahmed, president of Sylhet Private Hospital and Diagnostic Center Owners Association, Anwar Hossain, Assistant Director, Anti-Corruption Commission Sylhet Office, Dr Himanshu Lal Roy, Sylhet Divisional Director, Health, were present as the special guests at the event.

At the beginning of the seminar, Al Azad, CEO of Syltv and President of Sylhet District Press Club, discussed the aims and objectives of the seminar while Tapas Das Purkayastha, former President of Sylhet District Press Club and Executive Editor of Daily Uttarpurbo, presided over it.  

Samir Mahmud, General Secretary of Sylhet District Press Club and Staff Correspondent of Jagonews24.com, delivered the keynote address at the seminar while Fauzia Akhter moderated it.
