Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) won the highest number of awards out of nine in the three categories in essay competition on the Bangabandhu’s biography, and the ideals of Bangamata and her contribution to Bangabandhu’s life, said a press release.

Ramna Regiment of Bangladesh National Cadet Corps (BNCC) organised the inter-battalion essay reading competition recently, marking the National Mourning Day and 46th martyrdom anniversary of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

Cadets from hundreds of schools, colleges and universities in and around Dhaka participated in the competition.

Commander of BNCC Ramana Regiment Lt Col Rahat Nawaz attended the prize distribution ceremony as the chief guest.

Battalion adjutants and platoon commanders were also present in the programme.

Cadet Lance Corporal Md Fahim Imtiaz from BUP ranked 1st in the Bengali essay reading of Bangabandhu’s biography and Cadet Lance Corporal Sanzana Salim Borsha ranked 3rd in the Bangamata’s article.

Cadets from different educational institutions including Dhaka University, Jagannath University were also awarded.
