Bangladesh Cricket Board’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on August 26 at the Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden in the capital.
“We will hold our AGM on August 26 at Hotel Radisson and we are taking our preparation keeping that in mind,” BCB Media Committee Chairman Jalal Yunus told The Daily Sun on Monday.
The decision of holding their AGM was taken during their 10th board meeting on June 15.
BCB President Nazmul Hassan Papon’s second term is set to end in September this year and according to the constitution, the board must arrange the election within the next 45 days.
During the just-concluded home series against Australia, Nazmul informed the media that they are expecting to hold the next election in October.
Nazmul is expected to run for the BCB president post for the third successive time and at the moment there is no one around to challenge him.
Councillors are expected to approve the last couple of year’s budget of the board during the upcoming AGM as the board failed to hold it every year.
