Ex-assistant attorney general dies of corona

Monzu Nazneen Rosy, former assistant attorney general and an advocate of Bangladesh Supreme Court, passed away on Sunday while undergoing treatment for coronavirus at a hospital in the capital. She was 58.

She breathed her last around 12:30pm on the day at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) in Dhaka.

Monzu Nazneen Rosy was admitted to BSMMU hospital after being tested positive for coronavirus for about 20 days ago. She was shifted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) when her condition deteriorated.

Her body was taken to her village home at Barishal’s Bakerganj on Sunday following her first namaz-e-janaza held at Dhaka after Asr prayer. The Supreme Court lawyer will be buried there after second namaz-e-janaza today.
