CHATTOGRAM: The vaccination programme of Covid-19 for the university students was disrupted at Chattogram Medical College (CMC) due to slow pace of the concerned server of Surokkha website, the only portal for corona vaccination related activities.

The students of different universities who came to get vaccine suffered much due to the technical glitch on Wednesday.

A number of students expressed their disappointment as they didn’t get vaccine even after standing in queue for a long time since the morning.

Faisal Ahmed, a student of Chittagong University (CU), said he remained standing in queue since morning, but the vaccination activities were stopped as the server was down.

Some students said that they registered for the vaccine and brought related documents with them.

But, the authority didn’t allow them for vaccine without verifying the registration number.

Contacted, CMC Principal Professor Dr Sahena Akhter said there was a temporary difficulty in vaccinating the students due to slow performance of the related server.

“As we don't have control over the server to fix the problem, we cannot do anything until it becomes normal,” she said.
