Bangladesh archers bag two silvers in Asia Cup

Bangladesh archers earned two silver medals in the team compound events of the Asia Cup World Ranking Tournament stage-one in Gwangju, South Korea on Friday.

The compound men’s team comprising Shiek Sojeb, Himu Bachhar, Asif Mahmud lost to Jongho Kim, Yonghee Choi, Donghyeon Kang of South Korea in the final by 205-235 points while Shiek Sojeb and Puspita Zaman lost to Chaewon So and Jongho Kim of South Korea in the compound mixed team event final by 146-155 points only to satisfy with silver medals.

Earlier on Thursday, Prodipta Chakma and Rajoni Akter pair secured a bronze medal in the recurve mixed team event despite losing their semifinal by 0-6 set points to the Japanese pair of Hayakawa Ren and Furukawa Takaharu.
