Bangladesh Cricket Board medical unit advised the national cricketers to avoid public gatherings when they will be on Eid leave, starting today.

“The vacation will start from tomorrow (today). The Ministry (Health) has permitted the Sri Lanka returnee cricketers to go out only if they tested corona negative,” BCB Chief Physician Debashis Chowdhury said on Monday.

“We told them to avoid public gatherings and stay at home. There is a chance of their getting contaminated if they don’t follow the rule which can cause a problem later on,” he added.

Earlier on Monday, Bangladesh team attended the final practice session before going to Eid break.

All the cricketers and staff will undergo the Covid-19 test twice before the practice resumes on May 18.
