Sharmeen Akhee is an audience-admired small screen actress of the country. The artiste started her acting career with the theatre troupe ‘Arindam Natyasampraday’ of Chattogram.
She began her journey as a small screen actress through the drama ‘Bhalobasa Ki Kore Bhalo, directed by Nargis Akter in 2011. Akhee came into limelight through the play ‘Onamika’ by Shihab Shaheen. Popular singer and actor Tahsan Khan played opposite Akhee in the drama.Since then, Akhee has become a regular face on the small screen. She has also earned huge acclamation for her acting in the dramas ‘Ghotok Baki Bhai’, Char Konna, directed by Debashish Barua, ‘Rodro Chhayar Khela’ by Giasuddin Selim,‘Gramer Naam Shuborna Pur’ by Basher and ‘My Name is Bad’ directed by Salauddin Lavlu.
Akhee-starrer first movie ‘Iti Tomari Dhaka’ based on 11 stories of 11 filmmakers was released on November 15 in 2019. Her acting in the movie was highly appreciated by the viewers.
She has also acted in Bangladesh-India joint venture short film ‘Shado’ directed by Arijit Mukharjee, ‘Transit’ by Tariq Anam Khan, ‘A Quarter Mile Country’ by Noman Robin and others.
About her one decade in acting, Sharmeen Akhee said, “Recently, I’ve completed ten years in acting. I’ve tried my level best to entertain the audience in these years.
