Twenty seven impact enterprises received graduate recognition for their contribution to improve standard of living, including generating employment, through the creative utilisation of Information Technology (IT).

Dhaka Cast, Smart Retina, Traceabl, and Romoni are among the enterprises, said a press release.

Dhaka Cast got graduate recognition for providing online service for diabetes patients at home, Smart Retina for initial detection of diabetes, Traceabl for suggestions for cultivation of fish successfully, Romoni as e-learning platform for teaching from primary to varsity level and providing parlour service through app.

The graduation ceremony, organised by Biniyog Briddhi (B-Briddhi), took place in the city virtually on Wednesday.

Maxime Cheng, Lead of Market & Capacity Building Programmes at Roots of Impact, and Bijon Islam, Chief Executive Officer of LightCastle Partners, attended the event.

Mehad Ul Haque, business consultant of Light Castle Partners, conducted the ceremony.

Light Castle Partners, a business consultancy firm, Roots of Impact, and B-Briddhi are jointly implementing the programme.

Maxime Cheng said that While 2020 has been a year with lots of physical limitations, it highlighted the value of the online incubation component being offered in B-Briddhi.

One of the participating entrepreneurs in the Bridge for Billions incubation platform, Bushra Anjum, Co-Founder of wizkit said that the incubation program has helped us to groom our startup’s business model for the better.

Addressing the event, the speakers called for improving the standard of living, including creating employment by start-ups through utilisation of IT.

As the world went down into pandemic lockdown in 2020, Biniyog Briddhi provided access to the virtual incubation platform to 5 impactful Bangladeshi incubators- YY Ventures, BetterStories, Bangladesh Angels, Truvalu Enterprises, and BYLC Ventures.

BBriddhi is a multi-year partnership between the Embassy of Switzerland in Bangladesh, Roots of Impact, and LightCastle Partners including other stakeholders, such as investors, private sector organisations, incubators, and support organisations for impact enterprises.
