88,000 more take vaccine

Around 88,000 people got vaccinated against Covid-19 across the country on Monday, bringing the total number of vaccine recipients to 44,85,954. 

According to data of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), 87,860 people received their first doses of the Covid-19 vaccine across the country on Monday while a total of 57,70,198 people registered online for getting the vaccine until 5:30pm on the day since the start of the registration process.

Of the total vaccine recipients, 50,244 were males and 37,616 females, it said adding that only five people reported side effects. 

With this, a total of 44,85,954 people have so far received the first dose of Oxford-AstraZeneca (Covishield) vaccine against the virus across the country.
