Two school students have developed an augmented reality-based mobile app which will help smartphone users learn about Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman scanning the photo of the Father of the Nation.

Under the platform of Innovative Science, Zawad Khandokar and Tayef Mahmud developed the app – Bongo AR – and talked about their technology during a visit to the Daily Sun office on Wednesday.

“There are many contents about Bangabandhu in libraries as well as on websites. We want to aggregate all contents about the Father of the Nation under one platform. And the augmented reality-based app will help people to go through the glorious life of Bangabandhu only by scanning his photo,” Zawad said who will take the Secondary School Certificate examination from the capital’s Kakoli High School next year.

The developer said initially the application recognises the logo of Mujib Borsho and more information will be integrated in future editions.

Another team member, Tayef Mahmud, a tenth-grader at Birshreshtha Munshi Abdur Rouf Public College, said that members of Innovative Science planned to do something for the country.
