Another brand new Dash 8-400 aircraft arrived in Dhaka on Friday, adding another plane to the fleet of the national flag carrier Biman Bangladesh Airlines.
“The new aircraft, Shwetbalaka , landed at Hazrat Shahjalal Inter-national Airport around 5.30pm,” said Tanvir Ahmed, public relations officer at the civil aviation ministry.This is the last one of the three Dash 8-400 aircraft that the Bangladesh government has bought from Canada, under a government-to-government (G2G) deal.
The new aircraft departed for Bangladesh from De Haviland Bombardier
Aerospace of Canada.
Earlier, two more aircraft of the same model reached the country in recent months.
With the latest one, the number of aircraft in the Biman fleet has risen to 21.
