DSCC cleaner killed in city road crash

A cleaner of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) was killed in a road accident at Kakrail in the capital early on Thursday.

The deceased has been identified as Golam Nabi, 45, a father of four and son of Jaher Miah of Konaghat Bazar area of Nabinagar upazila of Brahmanbaria.

Quoting relatives, Inspector Bacchu Mia, in-charge of DMCH Police Outpost, said two cleaners, including Nabi, of the DSCC were sweeping the part of a road in front of Willes Little Flower School and College at around 1:30am.

Suddenly, a speedy microbus ran over him, leaving Nabi critically injured.

His co-workers rushed him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where the on-duty doctors declared him dead.

His body was kept at DMCH morgue.
