3 startups idea secure FBCCI-MIT contest

Three teams have secured FBCCI-MIT Solveathon final contest for their best startups ideas on Tuesday.

Out of five teams, the team Aftergrad , Team KRI SHOP and Team SUSHASTO have won for their startups theme on Edu Tech, Agri Tech and Health Tech respectively.

Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) made the announcement in the final event held at FBCCI head office in the capital.

This contest has initiated by the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI), in collaboration with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). 

To bring the most feasible solution to drive the transformational change, the Solveathon is organised for first time in the country under BCCI TechC initiative.

The winning teams are – Team Aftergrad, Team KriShop, and Team Sushasto won for showing technological solution on education, agriculture and health.

FBCCI President Sheikh Fazle Fahim delivered welcome speech while the trade body’s tech adviser Sonia Bashir Kabir moderated the programme. 

FBCCI President Sheikh Fazle Fahim, at the welcome speech, said the platform will create great opportunities in terms of entrepreneurship training of talented youth to work on challenges. It will also help them to be a part of global community and represent Bangladesh globally, he hoped.

Robi CEO Mahtab Ahmed, Grameenphone CEO Yasir Azman, IPDC Finance Limited CEO Mominul Islam, Citi Bank Bangladesh MD and Citi Country Officer Shekar N. Rajashekaran, Dhaka University Professor Lafifa Jamal and Dhaka University IBA Prof Dr Syed Ferhat Anwar, BRAC University Chairperson Tamara Abed and Ambassador (Retd.) Md Abdul Hannan was the judges of the final event.
