Mohammedan climb up to fifth

Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited registered their third successive win and climbed up to fifth in the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League by beating Rahamatgonj Muslim Friends Society 2-0 in their ninth match at the Shaheed Dhirendranath Dutta Stadium in Cumilla on Wednesday.

Malian forward Souleymane Diabate and young forward Amir Hakim Bappy scored one each for the traditional black and white in the third and the injury time (90+4 minutes). Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Chakra beat Bangladesh Police Football Club 1-0 at the Bangabandhu National Stadium with Cameroonian forward Aymard Christian Bekamenga scored the match-winner in the 41st minute.

Chittagong Abahoni Limited got a narrow escape as they beat Brothers Union by 1-0 goal at the same venue. Midfielder Manik Mollah scored the lone goal of the game in the 72nd minute.
