Twenty-eight out of the 157 passengers who returned from the UK have tested positive for Covid-19.
Sources said that a flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines carrying the 157 passengers from London landed in Sylhet Osmani International Airport on January 21.Their samples were taken on Sunday and the reports came out positive on Monday. They were kept at institutional quarantine at different hotels in Sylhet city.
They were put under institutional quarantine at different hotels for four days following health guidelines of the Health Ministry.
Upon completion of their quarantine, their samples were sent for Covid-19 PCR tests on Sunday and 28 of them tested positive.
Of them, 15 were staying at Hotel Nurjahan, five at Britania, four at Holygate, and three at La Rose, and another at Holy Side.
