Six more dengue patients hospitalised in last 24 hours

The total number of dengue infection has reached 1,403 across the country in the current year until Tuesday as six new dengue patients were hospitalised in the last 24 hours.

According to Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), 547 dengue patients were hospitalised in November and 229 in current month December till yesterday morning.

The DGHS said the six patients have been admitted to different hospitals in Dhaka and no one was hospitalised outside the capital on the same day.

Currently, 16 dengue patients are undergoing treatment in different hospitals across the country.

Of them, 16 patients are receiving treatment in 41 government and private hospitals in the capital while no patient is taking treatment in hospitals outside the capital.

However, no new death from the disease was reported in the last 24 hours, the health directorate said.

A total of 1,403 people have been diagnosed with dengue since the beginning of this year. Among them, 1,375 people were released from hospitals after recovery.
