Two ‘human traffickers’ arrested

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of police arrested two alleged human traffickers from Mirhazirbagh at Jatrabari in the capital on Tuesday.

The arrestees are Nayeem Ahmed,41, son of Sahabuddin Ahmed, and Miraz Akhan,45, son of late Nur Mohammad.

Jisan Haque, senior assistant superintendent of police (media) of the CID, confirmed the news to the Daily Sun on Wednesday evening.

A team of Dhaka Metro South of the CID held them who are members of a human trafficking gang, he said.

The arrestees used to make fake passports, visas, PR cards and personal pin cards.

The duo sent fortune seekers to different countries of Europe and other countries through the fake passports, visas and other documents.
